Here's to a new journey... a discovery and an exploration of my creative mind.
Testing the limits of my imagination and then... to spark my visions into reality.

What you will find on this blog is everything related to sewing and creating dance leotards. From drafting patterns, designing, sewing, and decorating… to reach the final product.
Progressively throughout my blogs you will gain insight into my style and my little quirks of every day life, to the world of costuming and a love a sparkles. :)
This part is in my 'About Me' section, but it explains how I progressed and gained confidence with my own sewing skills.
Ever since I can remember I have always been a crafty person, with vivid memories at the age of five sewing my little project to my leggings. It wasn’t till the age of 11-12 that I first got to have a a go at using the sewing machine and then things just grew from there.
I’ve never really had any proper form of training in the area of sewing apart from some short courses and help from some wonderful ladies that have so many years of experience in making leotards and costumes.
Over the past four years I have learnt so much about making and designing leotards, just from developing my own skill set.
I’m a lot more confident with my skills and therefore I’m not as afraid to show my designs to the greater public.
Why I make leotards is an interesting question. For me I like to give gifts to people and this is one of the ultimate gifts, to make someone feel amazing in a personalized costume. I also love, love , LOVE!!! Sparkles :) just like a bowerbird… you will often see me with glitter scattered over my body from decorating costumes.
I am a perfectionist when it comes down to my leotards, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. As all I want to do is create the most spectacular costumes
The reason why I decided to create a blog?
For the past couple of years I have been sewing dance leotards, and like most new-comers to the skill of leotard design and making, the internet is a great place to research design ideas, how-to’s and tutorials. But nevertheless, this niche area isn’t widely sourced, so I decided that I was going to do something about it!
And also I have some fun by getting to make some brand new leotards.
There is so much that goes into the final product of a leotard. And I hopefully will be able to give you a glimpse into the processes used before the leotards hit the stage.
